Colors: Field - mustard yellow; Cat - black; Sailor hat - white with light blue highlights; Eyelids - light blue; Eyeballs - white; Pupils - black with white pinpoints; Furrow in forehead - green; Jowls - dull orange; Whiskers - light blue on right, black on left; Teeth - white; Cigar - black, mustard shading, light blue smoke; Mae West - dull orange, light blue loops at top; Guns - light blue, black markings, dull orange smoke; Claws - dull orange. When they made this patch it really looks like they were just overlaid on top of each other. VP-71 patch from 1969. Squadrons VP-871, VP-872 & VP-873 ( flying SP2H at the time ) and were reserve squadrons stationed at NAS Alameda, California. The patch for VP-71 is the combined patches of all three squadrons..."
